In a time when I was at a terribly low point in my life, my aunt, who I love dearly and thank for introducing me to a new way of life, said to me, “Darling, you must remember one thing; There is much more beyond the farthest skies and much more beyond the tip of our noses. Consider this as your wake up call to realize this and to expand your vision and mind. Find your telescope, your mind and reach out to the Universe. She is very kind and if you reach out to her with loving and joyous arms, She will embrace you with the same warmth.” At this point, my life changed.
“Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne was the first to offer this theory to the world. The secret largely spoken about in this novel is the Law of Attraction. Rhonda Byrne claims in her book that an individual can bring about anything in their life, anything just with the power of thought. The book says that the order of the Universe is determined under the Law of Attraction. Everything that comes into our life comes through the power of thoughts. Like attracts like. This theory suggests that every thought has its own frequency and vibration which is sent into the Universe and the Universe interacts with the material world in response to those frequencies. Let’s scrutinize this from the eyes of science.
Isaac Newton put forth a law in 1697 which stated that any particle of matter in the universe attracts any other with the force varying directly as the product of the masses and inversely as the square of the distance between them. This theory also states that what goes around comes back around with full force due the gravitational pull of the source object. It’s similar to throwing a ball upwards with full force and it coming back to you with double the velocity and hence, double the force too. If you don’t catch the ball in time, it will hit you in the face and it will hurt.
Similarly, the thoughts and frequencies that we throw out into the universe strongly alter the frequencies that return to us. If I am to awake every morning with my first thought being, “Ugh… I hate this.” I will likely hate everything for the rest of the day. My coffee will taste like poison, my toast will taste like buttered cardboard and I will walk out hungry. I will see myself feeling lethargic and unmotivated at work, which will lead to me getting an earful from my boss, and don’t even get me started about how absolutely exhausted I will be at college. I won’t find the will in me to go for that 30 minute run and neither will I have the peace of mind to roll out the yoga mat for a few asanas, hence compromising my health twice. One thought will alter my whole day! Just three words and it’s over!
The law of attraction states that by focusing on positive thoughts and feelings, they will be manifested in your reality. If someone has the belief that they need to lose weight, they will eventually see their reflection change shape because our brains only show us what we believe is true. This law can also be applied to your current job. If you’re unhappy with your job, it’s because you have fear of the results if you made a change. This fear can manifest itself as illness or anxiety. On the opposite end, if you love your job and feel positive about the new challenges that will arise, great abundance and satisfaction will come to you in the future.
Resonance is a very similar law that also mimics the law of attraction in every way. In resonance, what is projected comes back to you from everyone around you. This includes positive energy or negative energy and these are all determined by our beliefs about ourselves and people around us. This is what we call Law of Resonance and Attraction.
The only ways to get rid of the negative energy or bad luck that is coming your way, is to change your beliefs about yourself and people around you because the only thing that matters are our own thoughts formulating in our minds.
The first step will always be altering one’s mindset. Shift to a positive realm of perception and thinking. There are layers and layers of thoughts, beliefs and fears blocking your mind, and these aren’t going to disappear overnight. You need to affirm to yourself and instill that sense of gratitude and peace in your heart, and that can be achieved through mindfulness. We must release as much of the stored negativity as we can from our minds in order to make space for positivity, much like emptying out unnecessary stuff from your home just before Diwali.
See what you are paying attention to. Start by focusing on the things you instinctively focus on. You usually pay attention to which aspects of your life are going well and which aspects go wrong? When you work hard to realize your dreams, obstacles and challenges will inevitably arise. When you focus on the right things, it will be easier for you to solve problems and overcome these obstacles. Bring a list of questions. Since the brain is prone to negative emotions, it is not surprising that people are always worried. To break this habit, try to keep the “alert list” for two weeks and record the concerns that arise. This exercise will not only help you get rid of the heavy energy that often confuses us, but it will also help you. Review your concerns retrospectively to see if any of them are actually legitimate. Then your brain has evidence that worry is usually a waste of energy.
Practice diaphragmatic breathing. Inhale from the abdomen instead of the chest and take a few minutes to make the exhalation time longer than the inhalation time. For example, if your breath count is 6, your exhalation count is 8. This way of breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system. It is responsible for our re-digestion reaction. It will help you feel relaxed, fulfilled, and treat life with a clearer mind. Use meditation to calm the monkey’s heart. Remember that meditation will not stop your thoughts, but it will show you their fleeting moments so that you can divert your attention away from the negative and stress patterns that develop over time. …Negative emotions are stored in our bodies at the cellular level. Exercise is a way to relieve stress and negative energy. It doesn’t have to be intense; you can dance, do yoga, or take a walk.
Write a gratitude journal. Gratitudeis one of the easiest ways to cheer yourself up. When we acknowledge our great happiness and appreciate all our blessings, this will automatically trigger our inner “happiness” energy vibration. Write down your goals and connect your goals to your reasons. Listing your goals will help clarify the situation and take more enlightening actions. Make sure to connect with the “why” as you proceed: when you achieve this goal, the feeling you expect will appear. What will it look like when your dreams come true? Once you write down your goals and connect them to their causes, the first thing to do in the morning and before bed is to read the list. Take a few minutes to imagine and connect with the feeling of realizing your dream. It feels like you already have what you want.Let yourself believe. Let yourself be brought into a world where everything has passed. Pay attention to details: the look, feel, and sound of the world. This will help you create more excitement and enthusiasm, and encourage you to continue to take inspiring actions to achieve your dreams.
If you do practice manifestation, let us know which techniques work best for you and what were their results! Furthermore, if you’re experiencing blockades of any nature, let us help you bring into your life the sense of positivity and gratitude, and let’s throw every hurdle away in the path of your happiness. Together.
